Support program for distinctive university education

implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology

Since CIST was established in 1998, we have been trying to improve our curriculum and education method based on cultivating student abilities. In 2003, one of our performance was highly appraised and adopted as "Support program for distinctive university education" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

This program started in 2003, and in that year 80 schools out of 664 entries from all over Japan were chosen (including 4 schools in Hokkaido) and received grants as excellent universities and junior colleges. It's called "Tokushoku GP (good practice)" for short.

The title of the award-winning program

"The development of effective classes through shared knowledge:
Construction of e-Learning by High School -University Collaboration and effective utilization"

Math remedial classes with a combination of the e-Learning system and small group tutorials

We have been dealing with a new system for remedial classes combining e-Learning via the internet and warm-hearted tutorials with small classes.

The Math e-Learning System has been already released on CIST's site for free and has been used by CIST students and about 15,000 students of high schools and universities.
