Development and Assistance Project for University-Students' Career Activities

implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science Technology

Our theme: "Approach for career development for reducing separation rate"

In 2010, our program was adopted as "Development and Assistance Project for University-Students' Career Activities" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science Technology. We have promoted three stages for students to develop their ability to work in the society. First, we fulfill 1st year-basic education for all science and technology fields and academic skill courses such as Japanese, English, IT, management and accounting to improve on their foundation. Second, we choose the subjects containing skills and knowledge for each specialized field under University-Industry Relations and introduce the subjects to the students as certified Career Subjects. Furthermore, we invite guests from the companies which our graduates work at and have them give lectures regarding how to correspond with the knowledge in a practical situation and then let them get an objective overview of occupations in their area of expertise at the Career Development Program 1. Third, we adjust our portfolio system better in order to help students strengthen the humanity needed as the foundation for working skills, such as the abilities of collecting information, self-examination, self-expression and problem resolution, and we give them detailed advice by managing their learning process at the Career Development Program 2.
