Strategic Universities Collaboration Assistance Project

implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Science Technology

Our theme: "Human Resource Cultivation by Collaborative Educational Programs with Graduate Schools of different fields, aiming to new developments of Community Medicine in Hokkaido"

In 2008, our collaborative project (Sapporo Medical University, Muroran Institute of Technology, Otaru University of Commerce, Health Sciences University of Hokkaido and CIST) was adopted as "Strategic Universities Collaboration Assistance Project". CIST provides the course of Information Technology Career Program (Dept. of G.S.D.) for the program of the Graduate Schools. This enables our students having credits of IT subjects to try for the license of Medical Information System Engineer by taking the subjects of Medical Care provided by other universities at the school. It gives students more chances of getting jobs at IT companies. They can also take the multifaceted classes such as Medical Care, IT, Business and so on for Management Engineering provided by Otaru University of Commerce. This collaborative educational program is based on our e-learning, CIST- Solomon.
