International Forum on Laser Engineering, Optics and Communications (Manila, Philippines)
On August 19, 2025, the Laser Engineering, Optics, and Communication Forum was held at the Mapua Intramuros Seminar Room in Manila.
The speakers at the forum were as follows:
(1) Title: Advances in Optical Communications System - 2025 John Tyndall Award Lecture –
Lecturer: Masatoshi Suzuki, PhD, Vice-President, CIST
(2) Title: Introduction to Optics, Light, & Lasers
Lecturer: Jacque Lynn F. Gabayno, PhD, Professor, Mapua University
This forum was co-hosted by Mapua University and our university as a satellite forum for our university's Vice-President, Professor Suzuki, who would be attending an international conference in Bohol Island in mid-August. The event was attended by over 150 perticpants, most of whom were graduate students from Mapua University.
